2010 Registration Information
2010 Registration forms will be available shortly
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Registration for the 2010 season will be held Saturday May 8th from 10-2 for veterans and Saturday May 15th from 10-2 for new participants. Both registrations will be held at Huron High School in the cafeteria. All participants must have a completed registration packet to reserve a spot. A completed registration packet must include:
- Full Payment of $250 fee payable to Washtenaw Junior Football
- WJF registration form, complete and signed
- Notarized Medical Consent
- Physical or Note from Physician
- Original birth certificate, as well as a copy of birth certificate
- Sign up for your 4 hours of volunteer time
A notary will be available at registration for a $5.00 charge. There will be a physician on sight to perform sports physicals for a $25.00 charge. Both services, must be paid for in full at the time of service.

Scholarship applications and required paperworkmust be submitted to the WJF PO Box no later than April 23th- Scholarships will not be approved at registration!
Veterans Registration May 8th, 2010 (returning players and cheerleaders who were on the roster as of September 5, 2009)
Veteran cheerleader and football registrations received during this session will be assigned team placement only if full payment is made and all required registration paperwork has been submitted.
If you are not able to attend Veteran registration, and DO NOT REGISTER on May 8th 2010 you will LOSE PRIORITY STATUS and lose your spot on your former team.
You will be able to register at open registration on May 15th 2010. Registering on this day will not secure your spot; you will be placed on your former team on a first come first serve basis or on the waiting list, if your former team is already full.
Open Registration for New Players and cheerleaders (first year with WJF)May 15th, 2010
New Players & Cheerleaders (first year) Walk-in Open registration will be held on May 15th, 2010. All registrations processed on this date will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. All cheerleader and football registrations received during this session will be assigned team placement only if full payment is made and all required registration paperwork has been submitted. New participants are assigned to their unit based on school attendance area (see boundaries) in the order that their registrations are received. In the case of limited space, participants will be assigned to a waiting list. If the unit you are assigned to is full, a player/cheerleader may be given the option to fill an open spot on the other team. All new players and cheerleaders must attend in-person this Open Registration Session.
Important: A participant’s parent/guardian must complete the Registration forms. Both an original and a photocopy of the participant’s birth certificate are required for registration for new players or players who did not participate in 2009.
REFUNDS
If you need to cancel your registration, your fee will be refunded according to the following policy:
- Full Refunds will be issued if the WJF Registrar or President receives your request for refund in writing by August 13th 2010.Refunds can ONLY be approved by Registrar or President. The written request must be received or post mark via US mail. Refund requests can also be submitted via e-mail.
- Reduced refunds will be issued if you request a refund in writing to WJF Head Registrar or President, from August 14th till September 4th, 2010. All WJF equipment must be returned prior to the refund being issued. The following is the refund schedule:

- No refunds will be given after September 3rd, 2010
- Requests for refund must be made in writing and submitted to: Washtenaw Junior Football PO Box 3945, Ann Arbor, MI 48106, or provided to the WJF President or Head Registrar ONLY.
- All WJF equipment issued must be returned prior to any refund being issued.
- Refunds take six to eight weeks to process from the time they are submitted to WJF.
TEAM ASSIGNMENT AND FORMATION
This 2010 Season WJF will field 2 units:
- Jr. Wolverines “Blue” Unit
- Jr. Wolverines “Maize” Unit
Each unit has a Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity squad (team). A maximum size of 38 children per football team has been established.. Cheerleading squads will be limited to 25 children per team. Football team assignments will be made according to League rules and at the discretion of WJF. Veterans (those who were on the roster in 2009) will return to their prior year unit. New participants are assigned to their unit based on school attendance area (see boundaries) in the order that their registrations are received. In the case of limited space, participants will be assigned to a waiting list. In order to comply with league rules, WJF will not honor special requests for team assignment, e.g. if you would like to be assigned to a specific coach’s team or with a specific teammate.

BOUNDRIES:
Blue Unit (West Washtenaw County): Children who live in Ann Arbor and attended the following Middle Schools (Ann Arbor Open, Forsythe, Slauson, Tappan), Saline High, Dexter, Chelsea High School, and other West Washtenaw County high school districts.
Maize Unit (East Washtenaw County): Children who live in Ann Arbor and attended the following Middle Schools (Clague, Scarlett), Ypsilanti High, Lincoln, and Willow Run High School, and other East Washtenaw County high school districts.
